WIN Dixie

Miss Dixie is the matriarch of our herd.  She is a daughter of the famous PPeruvian Omar, who recently passed on to the Great Pasture in the Sky.  She has great conformation with dense, richly-colored dark fawn fiber, the strong bone structure of her sire, as well as his abundance of fiber.  She's a wonderful mom, but makes sure everyone keeps in line, including the two-legged caregivers.  She came to us from Pegi and Arnie at Windmill Farm in MN.  She gave birth to our Denali in June of 2005 and Kobayashi Maru in August of 2006.

HERDSIRE:  MFI Peruvian White Shadow

Are you looking for pure Peruvian perfection?  Shadow has it!  He is currently standing at stud, with limited breedings available for 2009.  Shadow has dense, beautifully-lustrous, incredibly soft fiber.  He has excellent head-to-toe coverage, perfect bite, a gentle personality, and great solid conformation.  He has already sired some beautiful crias!

Micron at age 1.5:  18.8/4.6/2.6.  Shadow's sire is PPeruvian Emilio (dubbed a "fiber machine") and his dam is PPeruvian Nusta.  Please contact us for more information on utilizing White Shadow to add pure Peruvian genetics to your herd!

Heartwood Farm's Denali's Promise

What can we say about Denali?  Not only is he handsome, but he has a most wonderful personality!  He loves to give "alpaca kisses".  He's the guy we take to all our offsite events, parades, and festivals.  He loves the attention and is always a perfect gentleman.  He is also very curious and smart--you can see him thinking about what's around him, taking it all in before making any moves.  After all, he is the famous PPeruvian Omar's grandson!  Keep an eye on him, ladies, he's fantastic!

Heartwood Farm's Kobayashi Maru

Oh, my gosh, what can we say about Kobi?  He's got beautiful conformation, nice thick crimpy fiber, and a cute little white spot by his nose.  Dixie's son, and she did a great job once again!

Hershey

Hershey came to us from Rum River Alpacas in Oak Grove, MN, at a time when we weren't even looking for another alpaca.  But we needed a companion animal, and he happened by at the right time.  The clincher for us was his beautiful color--he's the color of warm chocolate.  Grandpa Loren has spoiled him rotten--he now comes running to the fence when he sees Grandpa with a handful of dandelion greens!
